The senate plan also creates seven tax brackets, not the four in the house version. It also keeps the mortgage deduction for homes up to 1 million. The house version allows deduction only for the first 500,000 of a mortgage. Finally, it fully eliminates deductions for state and local taxes, something new york and california lawmakers are already having a problem with. 30 years, americans are ready for tax reform again, get growing again like we know this code will do, to get new jobs and opportunities, and significant tax relief for the middle class.
