Twenty-five high schools in the Lower Hudson Valley rank among the top 100 in New York state, according to U.S. News and World Report's annual rankings.
Bronxville High School ranked highest in the region, No. 13 in New York and No. 145 in the nation. It is the highest-ranking high school in the state outside of New York City. Edgemont (14), Byram Hills (18) and Rye (19) also made the top 20 out more than 1,200 schools.
Nanuet High School staked Rockland County's place in the top 100, ranking No. 96. The top-ranking high school in Putnam County is Haldane High School, coming in at No. 125.
Townsend Harris High School in Queens maintained its 2020 spot as the No. 1 high school in New York. Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia, kept its ranking as the top high school in the country.
