When can we say goodbye to all this snow? It will linger, but a thaw is on its way Christina Elias, Evansville Courier & Press EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Now that all the snow is on the ground, the next question becomes: When can we say goodbye? According to meteorologist Derrick Snyder with the National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky, higher temperatures and sunshine next week will make a real dent. "We're forecasting quite a warm-up into early next week," Snyder said, forecasting highs Monday around 41 degrees and temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday nearing 50. It's predicted to be in the low 30s on Saturday. Anyone wandering outside of their home should be cautious, as overnight temperatures will be below freezing, cold enough to refreeze moisture on surfaces.
