The Washington Wizards have their point guard. In a five-team deal, the Wizards acquired veteran Spencer Dinwiddie in a sign-and-trade, according to multiple reports — days after the team sent Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers for Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell and a first-round pick. Dinwiddie, 28, is a talented scoring guard who shined with the Brooklyn Nets, but is coming off a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament that sidelined him all but three games last season. He averaged a career-high 20.6 points per game in 2019-20. He’s been in the league since 2014 when he was a second-round pick of the Detroit Pistons.
