The lawmakers made up of members of the State House of Assembly and their National Assembly counterparts said Bolarinwa’s sack was long overdue, citing a “plethora of misdeeds.” Bolarinwa’s suspension and replacement with his erstwhile deputy, Alhaji Samari Abdullahi, was approved by the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led National Caretaker Committee of the party. In a letter to the national caretaker committee dated January 14, 2021, and signed by the 24 House of Assembly members on a letterhead of the Speaker, the lawmakers accused Bolarinwa of involvement in “anti-party and anti-government activities.” ....

Olowo spoke at the maiden edition of Exco Shares, a platform created by the Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions for workers to interact with members of the State Executive Council. A statement on Thursday said the commissioner challenged the civil servants to be deliberate in living impactful lives. “While imploring them not to be envious of the successes of others or wanting to be like someone else, Olowo opined that individuals should be aware that every human being is different and as such their Ikigai a Japanese concept describing a reason for living a life of purpose – cannot be the same.
