Police blue lights POLICE officers had to pull a lorry through the ice at Oxford services. The blue HGV was rescued by roads policing officers on the M40 earlier today after struggling with the ice. Using a green tow strap, the officers slowly drove the lorry to safety - allowing the queues of lorries behind to getaway. It comes after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for ice across Oxfordshire, which will stay in force until 10am tomorrow. Roads policing officers attended Cherwell Valley Services on the M40 where Goods vehicles were struggling with the ice.
