According to Cookie (Marie Perky Cookie) they’ve been cosplaying since they were a baby. How? They grew up with nerdy parents, lol.  Officially, they’ve been doing it since 2017, but when mom and dad are nerds there’s definitely a photo album of kid cosplay tucked away in the closet. You can check out their story below! How do you decide what you’re going to cosplay? I enjoy fan art versions of characters so I can make the costume around something that can’t be created. What cosplay are you most proud of? And yes, it’s absolutely ok to say ALL.

What’s a cosplay moment that you remember fondly? I remember I was getting ready to go to a con and I was cosplaying for it for the first time and I did Bulma. I was rushing cause I took forever to get ready and I posted a few pictures of my cosplay on Twitter and just all the love I got made me feel so good. I was really nervous about it cause I had to put different pieces together for it like her bag and trying to find the exact Dragon Balls she had in the first episode.

      Ofeibea Loveless started dressing up for local steampunk events in 2013 and started doing group cosplays with the steampunk crew Airship Ashanti in 2015. “I found the concept of cosplay interesting for a long time but always thought I was too old to do it so I didn’t (that was when I was in my ’20s!). But then in my mid-30s, I discovered steampunk and started going to events.” It’s here that she began connecting with others who wanted to do steampunk costumes as well as cosplays. From there, as she says, it took on a life of its own.

How do you decide what you’re going to cosplay? Sometimes I’ll think up a character and just want to cosplay them! What cosplay are you most proud of? And yes, it’s absolutely ok to say ALL. I don’t know if I’m proud of them, I always feel like I’m lacking but I really enjoyed doing Dutchess!     What’s a cosplay moment that you remember fondly? I did a Steve Harvey cosplay out of the blue and I was doing it in my friend’s dorm room with a bunch of ppl hanging out. No one knew what I was doing but when they saw my face they laughed so hard and it was like the happiest mom...
