SEPANG: AirAsia Group Bhd has restructured its massive aircraft order book from Airbus, said Capital A chief executive officer (CEO) Tan Sri Tony Fernandes.
The plane has drawn more than 550 orders from carriers like United and American, and is expected to open routes that previously required a layover.
This is where the IndiGo story started in 2005, with the order of 100 Airbus aircraft. Speculation is rife that the airline may be placing another large order here, comprising both Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
Passengers booked on either route will be re-accommodated on a flight out of New York-JFK, put on a partner airline, or refunded.
