Prior to be sentenced to prison, a Mitchell man blamed the winter weather and slick roads for his DUI charge and said he wouldn't have been pulled over had it not been for the "crazy weather."

Among the cases heard was a Mitchell man who pleaded not guilty to grand theft charges for allegedly stealing vehicles and firearms that were identified in a cell phone video he recorded of himself.

Two Mitchell women charged for their roles in the rape of a minor entered guilty pleas on Tuesday during Davison County felony court proceedings, with one pleading guilty to pimping and the other suspect pleading guilty to fourth-degree rape of a minor.
