Finance and Revenue Affairs Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh said Monday the government and its allies stand united and would win the upcoming Senate elections.
The federal government s allies, in a late-night press conference, have assured to back it in the upcoming March 3 Senate election.

Allama Abdul Ali Akhunzada’s contributions to education and Pashto literature are commendable
Balochistan faces many challenges when it comes to the provision of education. The province’s literacy rate stands at 40 percent, one of the lowest in the country. With over 60 percent of children out of school in the region, education continues to be a neglected affair.
Even though there is an evident lack of proper educational infrastructure, Khanozai, a tehsil of district Pishin located some 40 kilometres north of Quetta, has an incredible literacy rate of 98 percent.
Khanozai is known across Asia for its impressive literacy rate and high school enrollment rates for both boys and girls. The credit for putting the region on the path goes to Allama Abdul Ali Akhundzada, who is sometimes referred to as the Sir Syed Ahmad Khan of Balochistan. He gave Khanozai its first school in 1905. ....

Qatar- Education minister visits schools

(MENAFN - Gulf Times) HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi on Thursday visited some schools to check the implementation of Covid-19 precautionary measures.
In a statement on its website, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) said the visits included Ali Bin Abi Taleb Preparatory School for Boys and American Academy School, where HE the Minister checked the measures taken to safeguard the health of students, teachers and administrative staff, as well as the progress of the education process.

At the end of the visits, HE Dr al-Hammadi directed the school managements to adhere to all the precautionary measures strictly and firmly in order to maintain a healthy and safe school environment that enhances the academic achievement of students , the statement added. Olympic gold medalist gymnast Gabby Douglas is the first-ever winner of “The Masked Dancer,” having scored the show’s diamond mask trophy after being revealed as Cotton Candy.
Douglas was victorious despite facing off with two trained dancers in the finale. Runner-up Sloth turned out to be “Dancing with the Stars’” Maksim Chmerkovskiy. And in third place was Tulip, who was revealed to be Mackenzie Ziegler (“Dance Moms”).

Final year student commits suicide after being cheated by Girlfriend

A final year student of the Federal University of Dutse, Jigawa State identified as Abdul, has reportedly committed suicide after his girlfriend cheated on him.
From extracted reports, the deceased, a Mathematics student described as a First Class material, reportedly drank a poisonous substance suspected to be Sniper.
It was learnt that his girlfriend identified as Rafi’atu, a 200 level student of same institution, allegedly ended their relationship and went to Kano to spend Valentine’s Day with another guy.
