Article content Using tech The pandemic has vividly demonstrated the importance of technology for addressing the outbreak. Countries that have effectively utilized technology for contract tracing, predicting hotspots and protecting vulnerable populations, had substantially lower COVID19 cases. Hence, reflecting on the current pandemic situation we find ourselves in including the numerous nationwide shutdowns, the economic hardships and, most importantly, the thousands of lives lost it is fair to question our response to the pandemic. Without question, moving forward we will need to strengthen our health-care system. There is little doubt that technology, particularly artificial intelligence, will play a significant role in the trajectory and potential of augmenting our health care. We have much more work to do. It is time for Canada to not only continue building its health- care and technology industries in isolation but rather integrate them in a manner that enhances ....
