Voices: Celebrating the Beauty and Diversity of Americaâs Literary Landscape will offer its fourth round of author readings on Thursday, April 22, at 8 p.m. This virtual gathering is hosted by the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg and is designed to celebrate the richness of human lives and stories. The April reading will focus on the theme of Beyond Hillbilly Elegy, featuring the voices of Appalachia through the work of author, storyteller, and photographer Greg Clary; poet Byron Hoot; novelist Damian Dressick; and author and essayist Christina Fisanick. Point Park University’s board of trustees Monday announced the appointment of Donald J. Green as the school’s eighth president. Green, who is president of Georgia Highlands College, a multi-campus state college in the University System of Georgia, will take the helm at Point Park this summer, officials said. He succeeds Paul Hennigan, who has been with the university since 2000 and president since 2006. Trustees settled on Green following a national search that officials said attracted a number of well-qualified candidates. ....
Earlier this week, the Colorado State University Police Department received a report of a window peeper on campus. Just before midnight on January 19, a caller reported a suspect, that was seen masturbating in a tree on the north side of Edwards Hall. Multiple witnesses described the suspect as a male, and wearing a very dark, possibly green puffy or thick winter coat and black pants. He was also carrying a large backpack. A CSU security camera captured images of the suspect getting into a vehicle and leaving campus. CSUPD believes the man was driving a white 2008 to 2010 year Toyota Scion XB. ....
