Integrated rice-fish culture: AICCRA training toolkit
As in most African countries, the integrated rice-fish system remains marginal in Mali because of socioeconomic, environmental, technological and institutional constraints. As part of its overall goal of strengthening the resilience to climate change for several hundred thousand producers in Mali, the Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa (AICCRA) project hopes to change this. It has identified the integrated rice-fish system as a priority technology to validate and scale up within the country.
