Dr. Adrian Lorde were recently appointed to commissions of the Mexico-based Pan-Am Sport Organization.
Panam Sports Commissions bring together members of the National Olympic Commissions (
NOCs) and professional subject matter experts to develop best practices, advise the Executive Committee and provide valuable insight on all areas of the organization.
It is Osborne’s first time on a Panam Sports Commission. She is serving on the Legal Commission which has responsibility for modernization and compliance with the Panam Games statutes. Additionally, it approves the content and fulfillment of all contracts signed by Panam Sports. She said that she was honored to be appointed to the Commission which gives Barbados increased recognition in continental sports and some influence in the future direction sport takes within the Americas. ....

It’s confirmed: CARIFTA is postponed again

Following up on reports, it was confirmed yesterday that the annual CARIFTA Games are indeed postponed again – moving from July 2-4 to August 13-15 as a result of the date change in the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) schedule for secondary school students.
The CXC exams are now scheduled for June 13 to July 16, forcing CARIFTA to be moved again, but still at the Bermuda National Sports Centre in Hamilton, Bermuda. The new date is now less than a week after the completion of the Summer Olympics, in Tokyo, Japan. During a North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) online press conference yesterday, area president Bahamian Mike Sands, said that this would be the last resort for the games. We have critical questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. We have highly qualified medical professionals who treasure their reputations enough to tell us the truth. We have a Prime Minister who has asked for difficult questions, and instructed our professionals to answer such questions on live TV. What can possibly go wrong?
NO ANSWERS.
I have asked several questions about this vaccine, but our health professionals have not answered any of them. I cannot make an informed decision about taking a vaccine, if my questions remain unanswered.
