The naira has lost 26.36 per cent of its value against the dollar at the official Investor and Exporter window of the foreign exchange market since the Central Bank of Nigeria announced it has cleared $2bn as part of its backlog obligations.
The naira fell to N1089.51/$ on the official Investor and Exporter window on Tuesday.
The naira has depreciated by 38.9 per cent against the United States dollar at the official I&E window of the Central Bank of Nigeria in the past three months.
The Federal Government on Friday received a $2.25b foreign exchange support facility from the African Import-Export Bank
