hello, my name is michael , and i m speaking to you on january 17th, in side of a plywood box, here to relay my recollections of 9/11. i mean, obviously it s very unresolved for me. i could see the damage being done to people, but they couldn t tell their own story, in their own words. it was just plain, building down, building down. there was absolutely no space for the more complicated stories about what people actually felt. so, this is it. well i, just click it, go check to see. so we were willing to bust open the space for that. so you can see, we are inaction. once people went inside the booths, they controlled the recording. they controlled their own story. hey. it became absolutely clear, that this really was a very shattering experience. with a lot of feeling and emotion behind it. i m just, you know. and, our purpose was to capture exactly that. to tell the personal truth about what 9/11 was. ok ....

breaking tonight, authorities in las vegas say the person who opened fire on the campus of university of nevada at las vegas unlv this afternoon is dead. police report multiple victims have been taken to area hospitals but they are not saying what their injuries are, at least not yet, nor are they talking about a motive for the shooter. chief correspondent jonathan hunt is following this story from los angeles. good evening, jonathan. good evening, bret. we got the first word from las vegas police that there was an active shooter on the campus of the university of nevada las vegas. almost exactly three hours ago. and unlv officials immediately sent aletters to all students, telling them to run if they could. hide if they had to. fight if they must. the all too familiar advice that so many students caught in the middle of so many shootings have previously heard. vegas police also said early on that there were multiple victims and have since confirmed the number to be 3 ....
hello and welcome to all you watching here in the united states, canada, and all around the world. i m ken brunhuber. i want to get to our continuing coverage of the israel-hamas war. it s 5:00 a.m. in atlanta, noon in gaza where the four-day truce between israel and hamas is well into its second day. in the coming hours, israel expecting hamas to release another group of israeli hostages just as it did the day before. an israeli official says 14 israelis are on today s list, according to an israeli source, several children are also on it. day one of the truce saw hamas release 13 israelis and 11 foreign nationals who were taken to tel aviv hospitals for medical evaluations. doctors describe all 13 as good and stable. as part of the deal friday, 39 prints women and minors were released from israeli prisons. israel says 42 more palestinian prisoners will be freed today. we ll have a look. this was the scene last night as the first of the freed israeli hostages arrived at ....
