Globally, MediaTek enjoys a lion’s share of the mobile processor market with 30% in terms of volumes, driven by a change in the company’s philosophy from being followers of current technological trends to becoming a technology leader.
MediaTek is looking forward towards taking on its rival Apple and Qualcomm after its line-up of flagship mobile processors focussing on high performance and generative AI capabilities. "Our revenues increased from $7.9 billion to $14 billion in calendar 2023 globally. A big milestone this year is that we've been able to generate $1 billion in revenue from our flagship chipsets globally," MediaTek India managing director Anku Jain told ET.
