An early morning fire ripped through the Fruita Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints causing extensive damage to the building early Monday morning. A Lower Valley Fire District crew responded just after 4 a.m. to the church building at 417 E. Ottley Avenue, Lower Valley Fire District Chief Frank Cavaliere said.
