Board moves toward minor use permits for Solano ‘tourist-styled’ private road land uses
The Board of Supervisors introduced an ordinance Tuesday that upgrades the requirement from an administrative permit.
Protecting the right to farm was a critical issue raised during the discussion.
A series of urgency ordinances have been in place since October 2019 to address “health and safety concerns” that arose, in part, due to disputes between neighbors on some of those roads.
Road standards, emergency response access and other issues are addressed in the ordinance.
The board also requested special event properties maintain commercial insurance and provide a notice to those renting the special event location about the right to farm standard in the county.
