St. Augustine Plein Air Paint Out April 22-25: The St. Augustine Plein Air Paint Out will feature artists painting outdoors at St. Augustine locations, with the artwork then on display at the St. Augustine Art Association. Outdoor painting locations this year include the Ximenez-Fatio House, Aviles Street, Charlotte Street, Lightner Museum, the St. Augustine Bayfront, Anastasia Island and the beaches, the Castillo de San Marcos. Airstream Row at Vilano Beach- Lullaby of the Rivers Music Festival April 24: Join St. Augustine musician and storyteller Bob Patterson and his musician friends as they perform at the Lullaby of the Rivers Music Festival from noon to 10 p.m. April 24 at Airstream Row Vilano Beach, 190 Vilano Road, just before the Vilano Beach Pier. A lineup of local musicians will be announced soon. Cost is $10 for this all-day event. The music lineup includes Better Half, Bob Patterson, The Carpetbaggers, Doug Spears, The Duffy Bishop Band, The Dunehoppers, John Dickie & Collapsible B, Lonesome Bert & the Skinny Lizards, Michael Jordan, Remedy Tree and Sam Pacetti.
Florida’s Historic Coast is open for business Historic City News was informed by Barbara Golden, spokesman for the Visitors and Convention Bureau that Florida’s Historic Coast is “open for business” and there are some really cool things happening in 2021. Golden asks that while participating in events, please be safe and follow CDC guidelines. Wear a face mask, wash your hands frequently and practice 6′ safe distancing. Nights of Lights continues to shine each night with dozens of tours and activities to enjoy. There are several safe distancing events along with virtual event options, and plenty of outdoor adventures available for your participation. Located midway between Daytona Beach and Jacksonville, Florida’s Historic Coast includes historic St. Augustine, the outstanding golf and seaside elegance of Ponte Vedra Beach, and 42-miles of pristine Atlantic beaches.
