Hello and welcome to world news today. We begin in syria where, according to the United Nations, air strikes by the governments armed forces and its allies have killed at least a hundred people in the last ten days. 26 of them were children. The uns human rights chief, michelle bachelet, has accused the International Community of treating the violence with, as she puts it, apparent indifference. The fighting has been taking place in idlib provice, in the north west of syria, which is one of the last strongholds of the rebel groups which rose up against president bashir.
