19 San Angelo Non-Profits Receive $669,415 in Grant Money
 
SAN ANGELO, TX Board Chair Marilyn Aboussie announced the San Angelo Health Foundation has awarded $669,415 to 19 nonprofit organizations. With the addition of these grants, 224 organizations and 801 projects have benefitted from Foundation funding since inception in the 1990s.
Grants Chair David Lupton said the following grants encompass community impact, health care, mental health, public safety and youth enrichment:
Galilee Community Development Corporation was awarded $300,000 to relocate their offices. Galilee’s mission is to develop affordable housing for low to middle income families of the Concho Valley. They have provided over 60 new single-family homes, have 36 rental homes available for low-income residents and a variety of assistance program to prevent homelessness.
