Odds of tropical development decrease in the Caribbean

The NBC2 First Alert Hurricane Team is monitoring an area of low pressure in the central Caribbean for the possibility of tropical development. However, those development odds have dropped dramatically in the last 24 hours, and the National Hurricane Center now gives the disturbance only a 20% chance to form in the next two days.

Chances for development decrease in the Caribbean

The NBC2 First Alert Hurricane Team is monitoring an area of low pressure in the eastern Caribbean Sea. Chances for development have decreased to 20 percent over the next two days and 50 percent over the next week. A tropical depression may form in the coming days. This disturbance poses no threat to Florida. Regardless of organization, this disturbance will produce heavy rain and gusty winds for parts of central America this weekend.
