NDE trains 50 unemployed youths on environmental beautification in Niger NDE trains 50 unemployed youths on environmental beautification in Niger Share National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Niger State, has begun the training of about 50 unemployed beneficiaries under the Special Public Works Department on Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS). The Director-General of the Agency, Alhaji Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, stated this on Tuesday in Minna at the Official Orientation ceremony, adding that the training on Plaster Of Paris (POP) was going on simultaneously in all the states of the federation including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Represented by Mrs Francisca Eze Ako from the NDE’s headquarters in Abuja, Fiko explained that each of the local government councils will benefit from the skill acquisition programme and charged them to make use of the opportunity.

NDE state Coordinator, Alhaji Sani Maiwada, made the assertion at the inauguration and orientation programme of Advanced National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (ANOAS) of 46 trainees from the 23 Local Government Area of the state. He said that the programme was an advanced training of the Basic National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (BNOAS) where participants would be trained on more than 10 skills such as carpentry, tailoring among others.
