SEVIERVILLE — For the second consecutive year, the Sevier County School System will not host high school proms due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Some community members and parents are organizing proms in lieu of those typically offered by each of the county’s five high schools.
Ashley and Ray Flasher, owners of Beauty & the Beast Bridal Boutique, have scheduled the All-County Prom on April 30 at the Sevierville Convention Center.
“The event . is not affiliated with or in any way managed by the Sevier County School System, but must instead be a community-based event put together by parents,” said Tony Ogle, Sevier County School System spokesman. ....
