If you’re reading this, I’m probably already running the dreaded Providence Hood to Coast race — also known as the “Mother of All Relays.” The relay race sounds exactly like what it is. Teams of up to 12 members run about 196 miles total from the top of Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood, to the Oregon coastal town of Seaside.
Watch for runners along highway 30 into and out of St. Helens Friday and Saturday, Aug. 25 and 26 for the annual Providence Hood and Portland to Coast Relay.
Hundreds of teams will be traveling from Timberline and more will join in Portland for the Portland to Coast Relay making the trek to Seaside.
