WILMINGTON — Wilmington’s town council conducted its annual organizational meeting on Tuesday. At the beginning of the meeting, the board accepted the resignation of town clerk and tax collector Gerald Bruce. The longtime office holder had hoped to serve out his four-year term, but decided to resign due to ongoing health concerns. Bruce held the elected position for 22 years.
