Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana SAN, has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari over his refusal to assent to the bill on the right of every Nigerian child to basic education, saying such was unacceptable. Falana, who is also chair of the Alliance on Surviving Covid 19 and Beyond (ASCAB), said in a release obtained by SaharaReporters on Monday that Buhari lacked the power to withhold assent to a constitutional amendment bills passed by the National Assembly and the Houses of Assembly of the States under section 9 of the Constitution.
