Upon arrival, officers located a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was taken to a local hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson. Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said a man crossing the street was struck by a vehicle traveling south on MacArthur. “The male was conscious and alert at the scene and was transported to the hospital for evaluation,” Dotson said. The man’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
