Ninety-two-year-old Raymond P. Buda had a Zoom call with his doctor on December 2 because three members of the extended family with whom he lived in Mashpee had COVID-19. Two of them were very sick. Mr. Buda told the doctor he was having no trouble breathing; that he felt totally fine. On December 3, he developed sniffles, a symptom that turned into aggressive coughing by early morning.
