            Remember the old Andy Griffeth Show? I watched it as a kid in the early 1960s. It's still around in reruns, so I bet some of you who didn't even exist in the early 1960s have watched it.             One of the funniest characters on the show was Barney Fife, Sheriff Andy's bumbling deputy. Don Knotts played the role brilliantly. This was due to the fact that not only was Knotts a great comedy actor, but the Barney Fife character was his idea.
