New Delhi: The Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management (Calcutta) has passed a resolution against the director of the institution for writing a letter to the Centre against its Chairman.
Director Anju Seth is the first woman to occupy the post in November 2018 and is due to complete her term this year. Seth and the BoG, chaired by Shrikrishna Kulkarni, have often tussled over the conduct of affairs at the institute.

Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta has secured the 44th rank globally in the prestigious Financial Times (FT) Global MBA Ranking 2021 for its one-year full-time MBAEx Programme.
The institute has secured the third position among the 5 Indian Business schools listed in the rankings which reflects the high quality of the programme and several other factors including salaries earned, employment opportunities post completion, research capabilities, an institute statement said on Tuesday.
Commenting on the ranking, Director of IIM (C) Professor Anju Seth said, "I want to congratulate and thank the faculty, administration and students who have bestowed their trust in us and have collectively helped to create a conducive academic environment in one of the most challenging years we have ever experienced.

Professor Anju Seth, an alumnus of IIM Calcutta (IIM-C) and a PhD from University of Michigan, became the first woman Director of the institute in November 2018. Prior to joining IIM-C, Professor Seth held the position of Pamplin Professor of Management at Virginia Tech and was a Professor of Business Administration at University of Illinois.
