Four HPD officers charged in connection with a September 2021 Makaha car chase and crash that injured six people — two of them severely — as well as an alleged cover-up have had their trial date pushed back a second time, to Dec. 18.
The officers, who have yet to stand trial, can now officially lodge a grievance over any internal decisions.
The Honolulu Police Department approved 409 concealed-carry weapon licenses for 599 firearms through Wednesday, and officers hope to clear the current list of applicants by August, according to Police Chief Arthur “Joe” Logan.
