Whether virtual or in-person, the second through fifth grade students got to dress up, participate in fun activities, and enjoy favorite books all in honor of the globe's most recognized children's book authors, Dr. Seuss. Teacher Talia Ryan said the most pleasing aspect was that it had been a student-led project, which began a year ago with a proposal presented to a board of trustee meeting which outlined their plan. From there, a consultation with the rest of the school took place to canvas what aspects would make up the ultimate track, with pictures submitted to give a clearer vision of the final product. Requested features included a large wooden platform to drop in on, table-top and berms. An easy line was also put in to allow for riders who were working their way up to expert status.
