Forescout Chief Marketing Officer Neville Letzerich will be departing the company next week, the latest in a string of executive departures for the IoT security vendor.
Letzerich joined Forescout in November 2019 following a short stint at Virtru and was influential to the entire organization, particularly as it relates to the company’s new branding, a source familiar with the situation told CRN. He is being replaced by VP of Revenue Marketing Kerry Ford and VP of Corporate Marketing Katie Beck, who are taking on expanded roles to co-lead marketing, according to Forescout. ....

SailPoint has agreed to purchase early-stage vendor Intello to extend the right security controls to ungoverned SaaS applications that lie hidden across an organization’s environment.
The Austin, Texas-based identity security vendor said its proposed acquisition of New York-based Intello will help customers discover, manage and secure SaaS applications that are currently outside the IT organization’s purview. The deal will address the current lack of visibility into what SaaS applications exist across a business as well as help properly manage and secure access to those apps for all workers. ....

CrowdStrike has agreed to purchase Humio to strengthen its ability to ingest and correlate data from any log, application or feed for actionable insight and real-time protection.
The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based endpoint security giant said London-based Humio’s native ability to ingest and analyze both unstructured and semi-structured data will enhance how the CrowdStrike platform addresses DevOps and DevSecOps issues. Red Canary has closed an $81 million funding round to grow its sales and marketing teams and support continued platform expansion with new SaaS offerings.
The Denver-based security operations vendor said the Series C funding will support continued investment in both product and team expansion as Red Canary works to fulfill rapidly growing customer demand. The round was led by global growth equity investor Summit Partners, and brings Red Canary to more than $125 million of outside funding raised since being founded eight years ago. ....
