Heroes on the Move: Greek Heroes in the Hellenistic World

The Rockford Society, Archaeological Institute of America, invites you to "Heroes on the Move: Greek Heroes in the Hellenistic World," a free multi-media presentation by Amanda Herring, Assistant Professor of Art and Art History at Loyola Marymount University. <br/><br/>A field archaeologist and national lecturer, she will present depictions of heroes in art, how they were worshipped and their historic transformation in the Hellenistic east. <br/><br/>Masks are strongly recommended. <br/><br/>The public is invited to a free reception immediately following the presentation. <br/><br/>Burpee is handicapped-accessible and offers free parking. <br/><br/>The Rockford Society provides additional information on lectures, events, trips and archaeological information at www.rockfordaia.org
