Background: Paracentesis is commonly undertaken in patients with cancer-related ascites. Aim: To systematically investigate the symptomatic benefits and harms experienced by patients with cancer undergoing paracentesis using real-world data in the palliative care setting. Design: Prospective, multisite, observational, consecutive cohort study.
