From meals to toys and hundreds of care packages, several Maryland organizations spent Christmas Eve giving back to the community to make the holiday special for those who are less fortunate.Dozens of volunteers at the Jewish Community Center in Owings Mills assembled 2,000 bags full of toiletries, hand-knit scarves and hats and other goodies to give to people in need. The effort is the culmination of Mitzvah Week organized by The Associated s Jewish Volunteer Connection. We are a Jewish organization that really wanted to make the holiday special for people who celebrate Christmas.
