A science fiction feature film will soon be using North Carolina as its backdrop. The writer of the film, David Richardson from Gastonia, has used Bessemer City and Dallas as the scenery for other films like “A Scottish Fling" and “Losing Christmas." Richardson owns Chapel Grove Films, and has made several independent films inclusive of "Isolatum," a short film starring Katie Layman and her daughter Sabrina. Katie will serve as producer and also star in "Isolatum - The Time War," which will be the follow-up feature to the short film. "It deals with time travel and a pandemic. It's a really fast paced adventure," said Katie Layman.
