But to make sure we can fully reliably filter the water from the lower cherry aqueduct we need to make improvement in each short order as well ~. We have a contract with monterey mechanical to perform those improvements. Together these give us access to an extra 200,000 acre feet of supply, which is almost a whole nother year of water that we could have to rely on if drought continues in the future.
