A recently conducted genome sequencing done on a few hair strands of Beethoven, one of the greatest musicians in the world, has revealed the source of his many health problems and family history. The study, conducted by the University of Cambridge, after a two-decade-long study has revealed that Beethoven plausibly died of liver cirrhosis caused by his chronic drinking problem. The composer, who had various health issues throughout his life, also suffered progressive hearing loss and chronic gastrointestinal complaints.
