Milwaukee apartment building planned for Walker's Point former tannery
A six-story, 79-unit apartment building is planned for a former tannery complex in Walker's Point. Construction is to begin in July on the building, developer Peter Moede Jr. said Tuesday. It will take about 14 months to complete. The building will be the final phase of River Place Lofts, 625 W. Freshwater Way. River Place Lofts is just west of South Sixth Street, overlooking the Menomonee River Canal, about one block north of West Virginia Street.
