那本写满工作计划的笔记本还在，“2021年跑遍全省15个市州分院”的目标尚未完成，而这样一位深耕公益诉讼检察工作、竭力守护公共利益的检察官的生命，却永远定格在了2021年1月2日。
激情似火的“勇士”
这份对工作的热情贯穿了王朝阳的整个生命历程，2018年调入公益诉讼检察部门后，这样的特质更为凸显。
刚接手公益诉讼检察工作时，面临线索发现、调查取证、鉴定评估等一系列难题，“少坐凳子，勤动脑子，多动步子”是王朝阳的口头禅，也是他的行为准则。一个月里，他往返相关部门16次，获取公益受损线索2000余条，并根据案件需要交给不同检察院办理，迅速打开工作局面。

　　为了获得有力的证据，调查取证的过程中，王朝阳指导带领赤壁市检察院干警先后检测不同时段的水质，最终获得了有力的证据，法院支持了检察院的全部诉讼请求。工作结束后，赤壁市疾控中心的专家们开玩笑说：“检察院的干警快成‘半个水质专家’了。”赤壁市水利局启动了对水厂的升级改造，同时还对全市其他不符合要求的水厂进行升级改造，老百姓终于喝上了放心水。
