Gunmen Attack Benue Community, Kill Four Persons Including Two Army Personnel
At least four people, including two soldiers, have been killed in an attack on Okokolo community in the Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State. Witnesses narrated that in Makurdi, the state capital, the military men were responding to threats of attacks on several Agatu communities on Thursday when the invaders ambushed them and gunned down two soldiers, leaving one of them seriously injured.

Some residents of Nasarawa State and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the aegis of Indigenous People of Nasarawa on Saturday staged a peaceful protest against the Court of Appeal's judgement that upturned the Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal. It would be recalled that on 2nd October 2023, a three-member Election Petition Tribunal led by Ezekiel Ajayi, had in a split judgement of two-to-one, declared the governorship candidate of the PDP, David Ombugadu, the validly elected governor of the state during the March 18th, 2023 Governorship election.
