SAN ANGELO The first live San Angelo Revolution Film Festival is coming in fall 2021. The inaugural event was canceled last year due to COVID-19, though an online awards ceremony still took place, according to a news release. The 2nd annual San Angelo Revolution Film Festival will take place on October 14-16 at the Brooks & Bates Theatre in the San Angelo Performing Arts Center and the City Auditorium at City Hall. “We wanted to bring Texas movie directors and producers to San Angelo for a tour to showcase our community as film friendly, according to CVB Vice President Diann Bayes. San Angelo Film Festival to be Held in Person in October
SAN ANGELO, TX San Angelo will inaugurate its film festival in person this year. Organizers are calling this October s event the second annual San Angelo Revolution Film Festival but for 2021, it will not be virtual, instead an in-person, two-day event. This city was recognized in 2018 by the State of Texas as a film friendly community. The film festival is organized to highlight that status. In 2019, the San Angelo Conventions and Tourism Bureau recruited an Austin film festival organizer to expand his concept westward with San Angelo as its hub. Covid-19 interrupted the momentum and organizers are determined to regain traction on the annual event this year. ....
