KUALA LUMPUR: Autocount Dotcom Bhd made its debut on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia at RM1.09 a share, representing a 76 sen premium or 230.3% increase over its initial public offering (IPO) price of 33 sen a share.
It is a busy week ahead on Malaysia’s economic calendar. Amid the ongoing recovery from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, market participants will be keeping an eye on Malaysia’s gross domestic product (GDP) data for the first quarter of 2023, due on Friday. The median of economists’ estimates in a Bloomberg survey was for growth of between 4.5% and 5.1% in 1Q from a year earlier.
KUALA LUMPUR (April 27): Autocount Dotcom Bhd said its initial public offering (IPO) was oversubscribed by 167 times by the Malaysian public, ahead of its listing on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market on May 9. In a statement, the group said a total of 35,436 applications for 4.62 billion new shares were received for the 27.525 million shares made available to the Malaysian public. Meanwhile, a total of 12,808 applications for RM1.55 billion new shares were received under the Bumiputera portion, representing an oversubscription rate of 111.3 times.
