AMITE - In an effort to catch the last of four escaped inmates, the Tangipahoa Sheriff's Office announced an increased reward for any information leading to the capture of a man who escaped from the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
The search for two escaped Tangipahoa jail inmates entered its fourth day on Wednesday
N the last four days, four inmates have escaped Tangipahoa Parish Jail. So far, only two inmates have been caught and the other two remain at large. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said Avery Guidry and Trayvon Johnson escaped from the jail Saturday and were captured Monday. Both men were arrested in 2022 with Omarion Hoofkin in a home invasion killing.
After an escape during the Summer of 2014, Sheriff Daniel Edwards raised concerns then. Inmates, Omarion Hookfin, 19, and Jamarcus Cyprian, 20, are still on the run.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for two people who may have information on the whereabouts of two escaped inmates.
