N the last four days, four inmates have escaped Tangipahoa Parish Jail. So far, only two inmates have been caught and the other two remain at large. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said Avery Guidry and Trayvon Johnson escaped from the jail Saturday and were captured Monday. Both men were arrested in 2022 with Omarion Hoofkin in a home invasion killing.
Three of the men were serving time for their roles in slaying a man and shooting his daughter at least 10 times.
Aniyah Perry, a 6-year-old with cerebral palsy, was found dead in her home back on May 1.
The girl's mother is in jail, charged with concealing death of another, child cruelty, tampering with evidence and false statements.
Back on May 1, police in Hinesville were called to a home for a report of an unresponsive 6-year-old child.
