Criticising those responsible for the ongoing construction to install a hoarding, V Ramprasad of Friends of Lakes said that utilising the lake or buffer zone for commercial purposes is against court order and that the hoarding will pose danger not only to the lake and also to people who visit the waterbody for walks.

Preserve this lake before it disappears

Residents of Seegehalli and environmentalists complain against the apathy of the minor irrigation department engineers to protect and preserve the lake from being encroached upon by people with political clout. “We are planning to dispose of abandoned portraits by segregating wooden frames, glass and photo paper. We want the temple management to keep one or two drums to store broken ones.
