As BroadwayWorld previously reported, 26 year-old Lauren Pazienza was arrested and charged with fatally shoving Broadway singing coach Barbara Maier Gustern. Pazienza was charged with manslaughter, and was initially released on bail. Today, it has been reported that Pazienza was ordered held without bail.
Lawyer Arthur Aidala told a judge on Tuesday that the attack that took beloved 87-year-old voice coach Barbara Maier Gustern’s life wasn’t the same as “pushing someone in front of a cliff” or “pushing someone in front of a moving train.”
